Showcasing our Working Cocker's

Our Activities with our Dogs.....

Bailey and Lilly go agility training twice a week at The Dog House in Murton, County Durham, We  have had them both graded for competitions and they are as we thought medium grade, They have both recently been taking part in Public Agility shows around the northeast which were very well attended and  large crowds of spectators. They both love to run, and thrive on the agility circuits, and show great promise and potential, they are now competing and we have high hopes for them. Bailey is also a very keen hunter while out in the field and will flush game with great enthusiasm. He is a real powerhouse of energy and will work and train all day if allowed.  We have high hopes for him during 2010.

Raven is working towards a campaign in Gundog Test's, we have high hopes and he has come along immensely over the last few weeks.

Raven will retreive to hand and is very soft mouthed. He is a very intelligent little hunter with an excellent memory, a good eye and excellent nose to where his game has landed. Raven will also be entered into flyball and/or agility as he gets a little older as he seems to relish any kind of training and activity we do with him.

Raven is from our own breeding programme, and we own his mother Willow who also attends training sessions while out in the field, Willow is a calm non excitable dog which makes her an excellent hunting companion. Willow came to us as a young part trained dog. Her previous owner claimed she was gunshy and too placid to be a working dog, Willow is actually very calm around guns and will quite happily flush and hunt in a very quiet stealth mode. She is a quiet calm dog but is still very confident around other dogs and poeple. To say someone elses loss was our gain is an understatement. She is the reason we now both have fallen in love with this breed and I will always be grateful to her for that. Willow is very much the Alpha of our dogs.

Enya our latest and home bred pup will be trained to the gun as she ages, like her father Raven she will be entered into the world of Gundog test's. Her progression in training will be reported with up to date accounts on our news page and here. To say John is loking forward to training Enya would be an understatement. It makes it all the more special as we own her parents and grandparents. Watch this space.
